Apparently she doesn't like people pointing this out. Harry's Place is, at time of writing this (7:45pm on Tuesday), down: taken off line after legal threats. In that email, she linked to the website of the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke and recommended an article by the racist conspiricy theorist Joe Quinn, on the Israel/Palestine conflict.As a result, LSE academic, Mike Cushman recommended that Ms Delich contact the DNS service providers of Harry's Place, to complain that the article was defamatory. The complaint was made and the DNS address was taken down by the gutless Daily.co.uk.The attempt to censor Harry's Place has failed. Harry's Place's DNS service has moved to a more ballsy ISP: the Positive...Welcome back Harry's Place - janestheone that blog was taken offline as a result of a threat, see the post here and is now back I am glad to say with a new host, Positive Internet. Good for them. They posted that an "academic" called Jenna Delich had posted links to far right websites including Ku Klux Klan supremo David Duke. It's true, she did. They will not be bullied, and good for them. But it does raise issues about English libel law and the cravenness of ISPs. I tend not to share the view that English libel law is wrong because it shifts the burden of proof to the defendant - without it malicious allegations could be much more easily published. My own experience has been slight, but some years ago the New Statesman published a piece saying I was a racist, following a briefing from Mr Salter and then Cllr Howarth....Harry's Place and Jenna Delich - The Daily (Maybe) 
Every so often there's a post on Harry's Place that I enjoy or find useful. I am, of course, duly ashamed of myself as it's hardly a place known for its cool and rational perspectives on politics, but once a month or so there's something worth reading there. We basically come from very different places and usually when I read HP it's with one long tut on the go.However, that does not mean I think it should be closed down.
