Check out this recyclable light bulb from designer Tim Edgeler, designed to provide a solution to current light bulbs which usually end up in the bin and don’t get recycled.
The d:light is a light bulb and a means of recycling in one, when your done with it rather than throw it the bin, you just mail it back for recycling.
The d:light fulfills 3 main product functions by acting as light bulb packaging, a light-shade for when the bulb is in use, and the vehicle for return when the bulb has reached the end of its functional life. The d:light not only acts as a practical product but also helps socially aware consumers reduce their waste footprint.

Meet the Eco PC. It's about the size of a shoebox and has been engineered to use far less power than a traditional PC and is built from recycled components....

If there is one thing I hate, it’s when the batteries run out in my remote. It usually happens when I am most comfortable on the couch. Similarly, I rarely have batteries on hand for my remote control, so wouldn’t it just be easier to get a remote control that doesn’t use any batteries? Fortunately, it exists, and is powered by one of the most elementary power sources.
When I say elementary, I mean elementary school. Yes, this remote control is powered by wind up power, just like a toy. Apparently, thirty twists are enough to power the device for about a week. That is...
Yesterday I had the good fortune to see in Kingsmead Sq, Bath a spectacle that should chill the hearts of Tories who are under the misapprehension that a tory government would be more efficient than a Labour one.
There were 5 council workers used to put up flower baskets, not 5 flower baskets at a time but 5 guys to one basket. Two ladders, guys top and bottom, and a guy with a rope in the middle seems over the top for a hanging basket my mum could put up on her own. This from conservative controlled Bath and North East Somerset.
Then today there were 3 more council operatives watering these hanging baskets with one hose between them. The pair who didn’t get to hold the hose did a great job of looking at the guy who was and getting paid for picking their noses. Being a humble...
