Slated to be released at CES in January as with most things digital, Windows 7 Beta 1 has been leaked onto the Internet. If you want to try it out for yourself you can get it at the usual places (#) or you read ZDNet's review (w/ screenshots)....

It is inevitable in this day and age for software as well as games to be leaked on the Internet earlier than their official release date due to the carelessness on the part of the developer or snitching employees who decided that their Christmas bonus (or rather, the lack of it) just wasn’t good enough an effort by the company to keep them going for another year. There are a 1,001 explanations for a leak, but I guess most people are not interested in the “how” but would rather just play around with the leaked software itself. The latest victim to fall to piracy of the digital kind and leaks is none other than Windows 7 Beta, according to searches at some BitTorrent sites today.
Those who frequent the Pirate Bay BitTorrent site would be able to find two Windows 7 Build...

Looks like Motorola’s plans to surprise everyone with a new line up of shiny phones have now been abolished and leaked into the online community. Some say this could possibly be Motorola’s last chance and final attempt at regaining a greater share of the mobile market compare to what they have left now. At the moment, the only details are that these phones will be arriving through Verizon in the US and that the RUSH 2 will be hitting the scene first in Q1 2009.

This open letter dropped into our inbox earlier this week with a request to forward to Lib Dem members. Consider it done!
Dear friend,
David Heath MP (LD – Somerton and Frome) has just come 2nd in the Private Members’ Ballot in Parliament.
We are writing to you as fellow LDs to ask you to lobby him to adopt the Leaked Information (Accountability of Government) Bill – it is vitally important as it concerns the rights of members of parliament to hold the executive to account
BACKGROUND
You don’t have to be a Tory to find Damian Green’s arrest a couple of weeks ago deeply worrying. As Nick Clegg says, “The way we are governed is already more secretive, less democratic and more centralised than anywhere else in the developed world. Intimidating opposition MPs with...

It's hardly surprising the Prime Minister has looked a bit uncomfortable over the Damian Green affair. Michael Gove has written an article showing how Brown leaked him documents about the future of Rosyth Dockyard in the 1980s, when he was working for Scottish Television. That, of course, did involve national security. Luckily for him (and unluckily for the nation), Maggie didn't feel the need to set the Rozzers on...

* hard working families
* difficult economic circumstances
* Do nothing
You get the drift...
One question you could ring in and ask: Jacqui Smith just said in the House that there were concerns that national security information COULD in the future have leaked to Damian Green. Since when do police arrest opposition MPs on the basis that they might in future be leaked something which involves national...
Iain Dale has the leaked email and the story...
Former UK Ambassador to Ukbekhistan Craig Murray has entered the fray in the Damian Green case with some potentially explosive allegations. He attacks Jack Straw for denying all knowledge of the incident, although I suspect his fire is slightly misdirected. Instead, his anecdote blows to pieces the Home Secretary Jacqui Smith's contention that Home Secretaries never interfere in police matters. Let me quote his post in full...Jack Straw, so called Justice Minister, denies that he had any foreknowledge of the arrest of Damian Green. Jack Straw denied directly to the BBC in the documentary "The Ambassador's Last Stand", and denied to the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee, that he had any part in the false accusations laid against me or in my removal as Ambassador for raising human...

From Nick Robinson's blog on the 28th:Tory outrage at the arrest of Damian Green mirrors the anger that many in Labour felt when Tony Blair's aide Ruth Turner was arrested in the cash for honours investigation. Although their cases are very different there are important similarities. Green, like Turner, was arrested under suspicion of conspiracy. In other words, he has not been arrested simply for receiving leaked government documents, but under suspicion of conspiring to have them leaked.From this morning's Sunday Times leader: Some in Labour circles have sought to compare the two episodes, claiming a moral equivalence between Mr Green’s arrest and that of Ruth Turner, a Downing Street aide, and Lord Levy, the former party fundraiser. There is no such equivalence. Cash for honours...
Leaked pictures have appeared on the web of the new Jasper Xbox 360 motherboard.
The new motherboard uses a 150w power supply instead of the 175w one in the current Xbox 360’s.
As well as that there is built in storage in the form of 256MB of flash memory, and according to Xbox Scene the new memory is designed to be used to install the new NXE dashboard without the need for an additional hard drive or memory card.

So shadow Home Office minister Damian Green is nicked after publishing leaked Home Office documents. That being the case, and in the spirit of fairness that Gordon Brown bangs on about all the bloody time, I take it we can look forward to every single cabinet minister having their offices turned over by anti-terrorism police. You know, if we’re expecting everyone to be treated even-handedly. Democracy and stuff, yeah?
After all, a leak is a leak is a leak whether it’s in the government’s favour or not. Does anybody think that, if the substance of the information leaked to Green had been ‘everything’s rosey at the Home Office’, he’d have had nine policemen standing around him yesterday?
Green was arrested for ‘aiding, abetting, counselling...
A scary use of police time | Coffee House
So what did Damian Green leak that has warranted his arrest? From what I can gather, here are the three of the stories in this case...
February 2008 – Illegal immigrant found cleaning the Commons with a fake identity pass
February 2008 – Details of a secret blacklist of Labour MPs suspected of plotting to defeat Gordon Brown’s flagship terror reforms which had been drawn up by the party’s whips
September 2008 A leaked memo from Jacqui Smith to the PM running through the consequences of the economic downturn on crime.
I don’t want to think I live in a country where anyone, far less opposition politicians, can get banged up for scrutinising the government in this way. And what will the public think tomorrow morning:...
There is much fluttering in the dovecots about the arrest by the Metropolitan Police of Tory MP Damian Green, for the alleged offence of "aiding or procuring misconduct in public office." The arrest, we are told, is connected to the disclosure of several Home Office documents over the last year, which were subsequently leaked to the media.It has been remarked that MPs have no specific protection from police action if they are involved in criminal activities, whether or not – as some claim – such activities are in the public interest. You can trash a power station in the name of global warming, but it is illegal for an MP (and anybody else) to leak to the press confidential information sent to him by a civil servant who is in breach of his (or her) legal obligations to protect...
[funny] Hitler’s BNP membership gets leaked … ‘The neighbours are going to find out aren’t...

Florida resident Richard Littlejohn today wrote an 'hilarious' article satirising reports of the leaked BNP member list, pretending that it was in fact the Labour party that had its party member list leaked 'by a drunken civil servant'.It is thought Littlejohn was inspired by a similar post that appeared yesterday on an interworldwidenet hyper netlog that also confused the BNP with another right-wing organisation for comedic purposes.However, many readers were left scratching their heads as to what exactly Littlejohn was talking about, as some insiders speculated that the fearless columnist had in fact been the victim of a left-wing 'googlesockpuppetbombing' campaign. Some of the passages in 'Littlejohn's' article are so nonsensical that analysts said it could all be part of some great...

Hypothetically… would I be concerned if the leaked list of BNP members had one of them giving his address as a pub in Crawley? In case anyone is looking for the recently leaked membership list for the '''British National Party''' then you might want to have a look here or here. My views on these hate-mongering wastes of air are fairly obvious to anyone who has met me or reads this blog. Oh, and in case you're wondering, releasing this information does sit happily with my stance on privacy but thank you very much for your concern - a paid up member of the BNP is someone who has made a conscious decision to disobey the laws of this country by spreading hate, fear and misinformation and as you can see from the many reports of this leak, there are many jobs for which being a member of this 'political' party is illegal such as the police and armed forces - the names on here of those people in such jobs indicate that...
There are no links to any BNP websites in this article, if you were worried about clicking on a dodgy link. Comments section may be different if BNP supporters post.A listed of alleged members of the BNP has been leaked, with the party blaming "unions and the Labour Party" according to the Register.The leak was first revealed by anti-fascist site Lancaster Unity, and although the Blogspot blog with the details has been taken down, it's elsewhere on the web.However, bloggers should avoid linking to it, as David T of Harry's Place points out, quoting Section 55 of the Data Protection Act.BNP chairman Nick Griffin was reported as claiming the leak was good publicity for the party, but many people are now concerned for their safety, as addresses, emails and phone numbers were revealed.The...
